ING Hubs Philippines has been named Global Capability Center (GCC) of the Year at the 2026 SOLAIA: IT-BPM Awards, a recognition from the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines that highlights the organization’s growing role as a strategic innovation and operations hub within ING’s global network.
The award recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in operational performance, innovation, talent development, and business impact — areas that have become increasingly important as the Philippine IT-BPM sector evolves beyond traditional outsourcing into high-value global capability centers.
According to Jack Madrid, ING Hubs Philippines exemplifies the industry’s transformation, with Filipino professionals playing increasingly strategic roles in shaping enterprise-wide priorities.
“ING Hubs Philippines reflects the direction in which the IT-BPM industry is heading, where global teams play an increasingly important role in shaping enterprise priorities,” Madrid said.
“This recognition highlights the strength of Filipino talent in delivering complex, cross-border work and reinforces the Philippines’ position as a key driver of capability and expertise in the global services landscape,” he added.
The recognition comes as ING Hubs Philippines continues to expand its footprint within the global banking group. From what was once primarily a support organization, it has grown into ING’s largest global capability center, employing more than 6,500 professionals who support operations across over 40 countries.

Today, the hub delivers more than 400 services spanning over 30 global capability domains in banking operations, technology, and shared services, positioning the Philippines as a critical part of ING’s worldwide operating model.
For Hazel Zaide Delos Santos, the award reflects the organization’s continued investment in both innovation and its people.
“This recognition reflects the commitment and craft of our people,” Delos Santos said. “Every day, our teams drive meaningful outcomes, innovate continuously, and deliver work that shapes and strengthens ING’s global operations and technology.”
She added that the organization remains committed to providing Filipino professionals with opportunities to build meaningful global careers while contributing to world-class banking innovation.
Future-ready talent fuels ING’s continued global recognition

Talent development has been a central pillar of that strategy.
Nearly 6,000 employees underwent learning and development programs between 2024 and 2025, representing a 9.7% increase in trained employees year-on-year.
The initiatives are designed to equip employees with digital, technical, and leadership skills needed to navigate an increasingly technology-driven financial services industry.
That focus has also helped earn ING Hubs Philippines a finalist spot in the Talent Transformation Program of the Yearcategory at the 2026 SOLAIA Awards, recognizing organizations that are helping future-proof the Filipino workforce for the global digital economy.
Beyond operational excellence, the company said it continues to invest in employee engagement, sustainability initiatives, and community development programs as part of its broader commitment to responsible business growth.
As global financial institutions continue to expand their technology and innovation capabilities, the recognition underscores the Philippines’ growing reputation as a destination not only for outsourced services, but also for high-value work that supports product development, digital transformation, and enterprise innovation on a global scale.
