Ride-hailing platform inDrive has rolled out more than P2 million worth of incentives for its top-performing partner drivers in the Philippines, as competition intensifies in the TNVS (transport network vehicle service) sector and platforms look for ways to improve driver retention and earnings stability.

The initiative, called the Platinum Driver Campaign, combined weekly rewards, fuel support, and major prizes aimed at drivers across Metro Manila, Cebu, and Bacolod.

During the campaign period, drivers who achieved Platinum status qualified for weekly raffles, where 319 winners received items such as laptops and fuel vouchers.

The program culminated in a grand draw where top-performing drivers received larger prizes, including a BYD Seal 5 DMi, an M25 electric motorbike, and sari-sari store packages designed to help drivers supplement household income beyond ride-hailing.

According to inDrive, the campaign was designed not only as an incentive program but also as a way to recognize consistent performance amid rising fuel costs and heavy traffic conditions that continue to affect the ride-hailing sector.

The company reported that participating drivers saw an increase of up to 12% in weekly earnings during the campaign period, driven by improved activity among Platinum-tier drivers.

It also noted a broader rise in engagement under the program, with the number of top-performing drivers increasing by 130% from July 2025 to June 2026.

As of June 2026, inDrive said its active driver base in the Philippines has more than doubled compared to May 2025, reflecting continued growth in demand for ride-hailing services across key urban centers.

Beyond the Platinum Driver Campaign, inDrive said it continues to roll out seasonal incentives, including fuel vouchers and top-up bonuses aimed at offsetting operational costs.

The platform also maintains its Green Zone program, which temporarily reduces commission rates in select high-demand areas to as low as 1%, allowing drivers to retain up to 99% of fares.

Skills training through TESDA partnership

Looking ahead, inDrive is expanding its driver development initiatives through a partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

The collaboration will support the rollout of a Driver Academy, which aims to provide training and upskilling opportunities for partner drivers to improve service quality, safety standards, and long-term earning potential.

Industry context: competition for drivers intensifies

According to inDrive Philippines, initiatives such as the Platinum Driver Campaign are part of broader efforts to strengthen driver engagement as competition among ride-hailing platforms continues to grow in major Philippine cities.

“As inDrive continues its nationwide expansion, it is vital for us to build a stronger Platinum Driver community, as this can create a more reliable riding experience for passengers,” said Sofia Guinto, Country Manager of inDrive Philippines.

She added that the company aims to continue strengthening incentive programs while expanding financial and operational support for drivers both on and off the road.
