Maya picked up two awards at the PR Awards Asia-Pacific 2026, earning Gold for a campaign that encouraged Pinoy Big Brother fans to save before voting and Silver for the launch of its AI-powered Maya Black credit card.

The digital finance platform received Gold in the Best Brand Collaboration category for its “Save a Housemate. Save with Maya.” campaign, while “Welcome to Maya Black” took Silver in the Consumer Launch category. The Maya Black campaign was also shortlisted in the PR Event category.

The Gold-winning campaign centered on the 2025 season of Pinoy Big Brother, replacing the show’s traditional SMS voting with Maya’s in-app Save-to-Vote” feature.

Instead of paying for votes through text messages, viewers first deposited money into their Maya accounts before casting their votes for housemates.

The mechanic turned what had long been a fan activity into an opportunity to introduce users to digital saving.

The campaign was woven into the show’s weekly broadcasts and supported by online fan communities, giving Maya a visible role throughout the season.

Meanwhile, the company was also recognized for launching Maya Black, its Visa Platinum credit card aimed at customers looking for premium benefits through a fully digital application process.

According to Maya, the card uses AI-driven underwriting to assess applicants, allowing more customers — including those with limited credit histories — to qualify for premium credit products.

The launch campaign featured a monochrome creative direction and a coordinated “Blackout” rollout across multiple digital platforms.

Maya Group Chief Marketing Officer Pepe Torres said the recognition reflects the company’s focus on creating campaigns that connect with customers while supporting business objectives.

“These awards recognize the kind of work we believe in—building products and campaigns that address real customer needs in ways people genuinely connect with,” Torres said.

This is the fourth consecutive year Maya has been recognized at the PR Awards Asia-Pacific. Previous winners included its PayMaya-to-Maya rebranding campaign in 2022, My Money, My Bank, My Way in 2023, and Get Banked with Maya in 2024.

Organized by Campaign Asia, the PR Awards Asia-Pacific recognizes public relations campaigns across the region for excellence in storytelling, communications, and campaign effectiveness.
