Coins.ph is expanding its bills payment capabilities to nearly 300 billers through a direct integration with Bayad, removing third-party aggregators and potentially making payments faster and more seamless for millions of Filipino users.

The partnership between the digital asset exchange and mobile wallet and Bayad, one of the Philippines’ largest bills payment networks, strengthens Coins.ph’s push to become an all-in-one financial app beyond digital asset trading.

By connecting directly to Bayad’s biller network, Coins.ph users can access a broader range of payment options while reducing the backend intermediaries involved in processing bills payments.

The integration nearly doubles the number of billers available through Coins.ph, bringing everyday payment services across 17 categories into the app.

These include utilities, government services, telecommunications, travel, banking, and other recurring household expenses.

The expansion is particularly relevant for users who rely on Coins.ph primarily for everyday financial transactions rather than cryptocurrency or digital asset trading.

Coins.ph said the direct integration is designed to provide a more seamless payment experience, allowing users to settle recurring obligations from within the same app they use for other financial services.

Direct integration targets payment friction

A key feature of the partnership is Bayad’s direct API integration with Coins.ph, which enables Real-Time Posting (RTP) for major billers.

The setup is intended to ensure payments are posted within 24 hours, helping reduce the risk of delays and potential late-payment fees.

For users, the change addresses one of the more common pain points in digital bills payment: uncertainty over whether a payment has been successfully posted by the biller.

“We want to show how Coins.ph fits naturally into your daily life,” said Amira Alawi, Coins.ph Global Marketing Director.

“By partnering with a household name as trusted as Bayad, we’re making it incredibly easy for our users to settle their utilities and everyday expenses with nearly 300 billers, all in just a few taps,” she added.

Dennis Gatuslao, Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer of Bayad, said the partnership combines traditional payments infrastructure with digital finance.

“This partnership bridges the best of everyday traditional payments with the power of digital finance,” Gatuslao said.

By linking Bayad’s direct-to-biller network with Coins.ph’s mobile app, the companies aim to create a faster and more reliable way for users to manage recurring household expenses.

The expanded bills payment network comes as digital wallets and fintech platforms increasingly compete to become users’ primary destination for everyday financial transactions.

Coins.ph has built its platform around mobile wallet services, remittances, mobile load, bills payment, and digital asset trading. The Bayad integration gives the platform a wider bills payment footprint while reinforcing its positioning as a broader financial super-app.

The updated biller options are now available to registered Coins.ph users through the latest version of the mobile app on both iOS and Android.

Coins.ph is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

Bayad, formerly known as Bayad Center, has operated in the Philippines’ bills payment industry since 1997. It serves more than 500 billing institutions and government agencies and supports payments through more than 130,000 physical touchpoints, as well as mobile apps and fintech platforms.

For Coins.ph users, the partnership ultimately points to a broader shift in digital payments: the value of a financial app is increasingly measured not only by how money moves, but by how many everyday financial tasks users can complete without leaving it.
