As Father’s Day approaches, Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank) is spotlighting how digital banking can help ease everyday responsibilities for dads — offering a practical alternative to traditional gifts through its mobile banking platform.

While Father’s Day is often marked by gifts and family gatherings, many fathers continue to quietly shoulder day-to-day responsibilities, from managing household expenses to handling errands and transportation needs. PSBank is positioning its mobile app as a way to simplify these tasks and give families more time to focus on meaningful moments together.

Banking designed for everyday convenience

Through PSBank Mobile, users can perform a range of banking functions directly from their smartphones, including fund transfers, bill payments, and account monitoring.

The bank said opening an account via the app can be completed in minutes using a valid ID and selfie verification, with no maintaining balance or minimum deposit required.

Beyond routine banking, the app also enables instant fund transfers — allowing users to send support to family members quickly, whether for fuel, home repairs, or everyday expenses.

Supporting family moments, not just transactions

PSBank is also promoting the role of digital banking in making family time more seamless, particularly during outings and travel often associated with Father’s Day celebrations.

The app’s features include RFID reloading for expressway travel, QR Ph-enabled payments for cashless transactions at participating merchants, and cardless withdrawals at PSBank and Metrobank ATMs, allowing users to access cash without an ATM card.

These tools, the bank said, are designed to reduce friction in everyday financial tasks so families can spend less time managing logistics and more time together.

Helping ease household responsibilities

For many households, fathers often take on the role of managing utility bills and other recurring expenses.

PSBank Mobile allows users to settle electricity, water, internet, and other bills anytime, with options for scheduled payments and auto-debit arrangements to help ensure timely payments.

The bank also highlighted its 24/7 customer support channels, including its Facebook ISSA chatbot and hotline support, as part of its broader push to provide more accessible service to customers.

“Simple Lang. Maaasahan.”

PSBank said the campaign aligns with its long-standing brand promise of “Simple Lang. Maaasahan.”, reflecting its focus on simplifying banking processes while maintaining reliability for its customers.

The bank added that its nationwide network includes more than 250 branches and over 500 ATMs across the Philippines, supporting its hybrid approach to digital and physical banking services.

PSBank Mobile is available for download via the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei AppGallery, with more information available on the bank’s official website and social media channels.
