GoTyme Bank has rolled out a new international remittance capability that allows customers to send money to more than 170 countries and territories directly within its mobile app, strengthening its push into seamless cross-border banking.

The new feature, called “Send Money Abroad,” is powered by global payments infrastructure provider Wise and supports transfers in eight currencies: Australian dollar (AUD), Chinese yuan (CNY), British pound (GBP), euro (EUR), Japanese yen (JPY), Korean won (KRW), Singapore dollar (SGD), and US dollar (USD).

The launch comes as demand for faster and more transparent international payments continues to grow among Filipinos managing expenses related to education, healthcare, overseas travel, business transactions, and family support.

Since integrating Wise Platform last year, GoTyme Bank said it has recorded an 85% increase in unique users using its international payments services—signaling rising adoption of digital-first cross-border financial tools.

Through Send Money Abroad, users can now complete international transfers within minutes, with full visibility on exchange rates, fees, and the exact amount recipients will receive before confirming the transaction.

The service is fully integrated into the GoTyme Bank app, removing the need for separate accounts or third-party remittance channels. Customers are also able to track transfers in real time from initiation to delivery.

“As our customers become increasingly global in how they live, work, study, and support their families, international banking needs are evolving alongside them,” said Shern Teo, Chief Strategy and Proposition Officer at GoTyme Bank.

“Send Money Abroad is part of our broader commitment to making global financial services more accessible and integrated into the everyday banking experience,” Teo added.

The feature is underpinned by Wise’s cross-border infrastructure, which enables transfers at mid-market exchange rates with no hidden markups, according to the companies.

Samarth Bansal, APAC General Manager at Wise Platform, said the collaboration reflects growing demand for more efficient international payment experiences in the region.

“This launch reflects GoTyme Bank’s commitment to responding to the growing urgency for faster, more transparent and more affordable cross-border payments,” Bansal said.

He added that GoTyme is among the first banks in the Philippines to offer international transfers at mid-market rates with upfront pricing visibility.

  • Send money to over 170 countries and territories in eight currencies directly via the app

Expanding access for global Filipinos

GoTyme Bank said the service is also available to foreign nationals living in the Philippines, who can open an account digitally and send money to their home countries.

The move reflects the growing mobility of financial activity across borders, where digital banking platforms are increasingly expected to support both local and international transactions within a single ecosystem.

GoTyme Bank is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, with customer deposits protected under applicable regulations.
