At Mobile World Congress 2026, Tencent Cloud has unveiled a strategic partnership with CGTrader, signaling a notable shift in how 3D assets may soon be created, sourced, and scaled through artificial intelligence.
The collaboration will see Tencent’s proprietary generative AI model, Tencent HY 3D Global, integrated into CGTrader’s upcoming AI-powered 3D creation workflow.
The move positions CGTrader as the first 3D model marketplace to embed a dedicated AI creation pipeline directly within its platform — an approach aimed at addressing long-standing inefficiencies in 3D production.

Traditionally, creating high-quality 3D assets has required significant manual work, from modeling to texturing. By contrast, the new workflow leverages API-based services to convert 2D reference images into production-ready 3D models, complete with precise geometry and physically based rendering (PBR) textures.
This could significantly compress production timelines while lowering the technical barriers for designers and studios.
Tencent Cloud’s generative engine effectively serves as the backbone of this system, enabling faster and more consistent asset generation at scale.
The companies say this integration is designed not just for individual creators, but also for enterprise users that require large volumes of 3D content across industries such as gaming, e-commerce, and virtual environments.

For CGTrader, the partnership represents a step toward redefining its platform from a marketplace into a more comprehensive creation ecosystem.
By embedding AI directly into the workflow, users can potentially move from concept to finished asset within a single environment, reducing reliance on multiple tools and manual processes.
Fred Sun, General Manager of Tencent Cloud Europe, emphasized the scalability aspect of the collaboration, noting that the integration allows creators to accelerate production cycles without compromising the level of precision required for professional-grade assets.
Meanwhile, CGTrader Co-founder and CEO Dalia Lasaite highlighted the broader impact on the 3D community, describing the partnership as a “major leap forward” in delivering more efficient tools to creators while reinforcing the platform’s leadership in 3D content.
The announcement comes amid a broader wave of generative AI adoption across creative and industrial workflows, where speed, scalability, and automation are increasingly becoming competitive differentiators.
With this integration, Tencent Cloud and CGTrader are positioning themselves at the intersection of AI and 3D content creation — an area expected to see growing demand as digital experiences continue to expand globally.
