The Coins.ph and Skyro partnership is set to expand digital payment and disbursement options in the Philippines, giving consumers and businesses more ways to pay, get paid, and receive funds digitally.
The partnership, formalized during the ASEAN Tech Summit, covers QR Ph Scan-to-Pay, QR Ph payment acceptance, and digital disbursement services built around the country’s national QR payment standard.
More ways to pay with QR Ph
Under the agreement, consumers will gain access to interoperable QR Ph payments across Skyro’s network of more than 10,000 partner stores and 4,000 offline and online merchant partners nationwide.
QR Ph allows customers to use participating banking and e-wallet applications to make payments by scanning a standardized QR code, reducing the need for merchants to support multiple payment systems separately.
For businesses, wider QR Ph acceptance makes digital payments easier to integrate into everyday transactions while giving customers greater flexibility over which financial apps they use.
Coins.ph adds digital payout infrastructure
The partnership extends beyond payments. Skyro will leverage Coins.ph’s payout infrastructure for cash distributions, credit payouts, loan disbursements, and merchant settlements. This setup will allow partner businesses to process bulk payouts digitally and more efficiently.
This capability is particularly relevant for businesses that need to distribute funds to multiple recipients, whether for lending operations, merchant settlements, or other commercial transactions.
Coins.ph CEO Wei Zhou noted that the partnership will expand the reach of the company’s financial infrastructure and increase its everyday utility for both consumers and businesses.
Supporting digital finance beyond Metro Manila
Skyro President Anthony Co emphasized that the agreement supports the company’s push toward a more integrated digital financial ecosystem, particularly as fintech adoption expands outside Metro Manila.

Formalizing the agreement were Coins.ph CEO Wei Zhou and Global Marketing Director Amira Alawi, alongside Skyro co-founders and co-CEOs Arsen Liametov and Nasim Aliev, and Skyro President Anthony Co.
The regional opportunity is significant. Digital financial services can help businesses in provincial areas accept payments and access digital disbursement infrastructure without relying as heavily on cash-based processes.
For consumers, broader QR Ph acceptance translates to more retail touchpoints where they can use their preferred digital payment applications.
Why the partnership matters
The Coins.ph and Skyro partnership comes as digital payments continue their upward trajectory in the Philippines. Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) data shows that digital payment transactions reached nearly ₱25 trillion in 2025, while transaction volumes through InstaPay and PESONet increased substantially during the same period.
The next phase of digital finance is no longer simply about getting more Filipinos to adopt e-wallets. It is now about making interoperable payment and payout infrastructure seamlessly available across more merchants, micro-enterprises, and regional communities.
Coins.ph and Skyro plan to roll out the integrated payment and disbursement services across their platforms in the coming months, marking another significant step toward financial inclusion and cash-lite commerce across the archipelago.
