From AI access to AI adoption

HP said AI use is already gaining ground in Philippine workplaces. Citing industry reports, the company noted that more than 92% of organizations in the Philippines have already used AI in some capacity, while 86% of Filipino knowledge workers currently use AI at work.

However, HP noted that many organizations remain in the early stages of adoption. This means the next challenge is no longer just providing employees with access to AI tools, but ensuring those tools are integrated smoothly into daily workflows.

“AI adoption in the Philippines is no longer a question of if, but how quickly organizations can translate it into meaningful outcomes,” said Ida Evina Ong-Co, Managing Director of HP Philippines.

Ida Evina Ong-Co, Managing Director of HP Philippines, explores the next phase of AI adoption in the country, emphasizing that the challenge is no longer access to AI, but enabling it to work seamlessly within everyday workflows. Guided by HP's "For Your Best Work" vision, she highlights how organizations can translate AI into meaningful outcomes for employees and businesses alike.

Ong-Co added that HP aims to help organizations reduce complexity and create more seamless experiences through its AI ecosystem, enabling businesses to adopt AI with greater confidence and helping employees focus on more meaningful work.

Reducing digital friction at work

A key theme of HP Elevate 2026 was the role of AI in reducing digital friction in modern work environments. These include challenges such as device setup delays, task switching, IT issues, collaboration gaps, and the growing need to support hybrid work.

HP IQ brings together local on-device AI, HP NearSense, and integration with the HP Workforce Experience Platform. According to HP, the ecosystem is designed to support intelligent workflows, simpler collaboration, and centralized IT visibility across workplace devices.

HP also introduced enhancements to its Workforce Experience Platform, including features that surface early warning signs, identify factors straining devices, and automate actions to help keep systems healthy.

For Philippine businesses, these tools point to a broader shift in how companies may approach AI. Rather than treating AI as a standalone feature, the focus is shifting toward embedding it into the devices, systems, and processes employees already use.

Alongside its workplace message, HP Philippines showcased a new lineup of AI-powered devices for professionals, creators, gamers, and technical users.

These include the HP EliteBook X Flip G2i Next Gen AI PC, HP EliteBook X G2i Next Gen AI PC, HP EliteBoard G1a Next Gen AI PC, HP OmniBook Ultra 14, HyperX OMEN 15 Gaming Laptop PC, and HP ZBook X G2i 16 Mobile Workstation PC.

The company also highlighted LaserJet solutions for modern office workflows and new security features, including HP TPM Guard and expanded HP Wolf Security capabilities.

Security remains a key part of the AI workplace conversation, especially as more companies deploy AI-enabled devices and connected systems. HP said its latest security innovations are designed to help organizations strengthen resilience, reduce cyber risk, and adopt AI with greater confidence.

The event also featured a panel discussion on workforce shifts and how organizations can use AI to create more productive and human-centered work. The discussion brought together representatives from HP Philippines, Jobstreet by SEEK, the Digital Marketing Association of the Philippines, and EON The Stakeholder Relations Group.

As AI becomes more common in the workplace, HP’s message is that adoption will depend not only on powerful devices, but also on how well organizations integrate AI into everyday work. For Philippine companies, the next phase may be less about experimenting with AI and more about making it useful, secure, and manageable for employees.
