Saviynt has unveiled what it describes as the industry’s first enterprise-grade identity control plane designed specifically for AI agents, as organizations grapple with the rapid rise of autonomous systems operating across business environments.

In a statement, the AI-era identity security company announced the release of its Saviynt Identity Security for AI solution, which extends identity governance beyond human users and traditional machine identities to include AI agents operating in production environments.

The platform introduces continuous visibility, lifecycle governance, and real-time runtime authorization for AI agents — capabilities Saviynt says are critical as enterprises face growing exposure to “shadow AI” risks.

According to the company, 91% of enterprises are currently exposed to identity blind spots linked to autonomous AI systems.

The move comes as enterprises increasingly deploy AI agents to perform high-stakes tasks, including writing code, executing financial transactions, handling customer interactions, and orchestrating internal workflows.

However, many organizations still lack the tools to monitor or control these agents once deployed, creating what Saviynt describes as a widening security gap.

“AI agents don’t behave like users,” said Vibhuti Sinha, Chief Product Officer at Saviynt. “They act autonomously, access systems continuously, and make decisions in real time. Traditional identity security was never built for that.”

Sinha added that the new platform was developed in collaboration with enterprises already running AI agents in production, emphasizing the need for a “new control plane” rather than incremental policy updates.

The solution is built around three core capabilities: Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM) for continuous discovery and risk detection of AI agents; Identity Lifecycle Management, which assigns ownership and governs agents from creation to decommissioning; and an Agent Access Gateway that evaluates every interaction in real time to block unauthorized activity.

Unifying AI identity security across enterprise ecosystems

Saviynt said its platform integrates with leading AI and enterprise ecosystems, including Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Google Vertex AI, ServiceNow AI, and Salesforce Agentforce, enabling visibility across multiple development environments.

Early adopters of the platform include enterprise players such as Hertz and The Auto Club Group, both of which highlighted the need for governance systems that can operate at the speed of autonomous AI.

“As AI agents move from experimental use cases into core business operations, traditional identity models are no longer enough,” said Gnana Thanikachalam, Global Head of IAM at Hertz. “We need governance that scales at that same velocity.”

Saviynt CEO Sachin Nayyar said the release represents the company’s most significant product update to date, combining identity governance, privileged access management, and real-time enforcement into a unified AI identity security stack.

The platform also integrates external risk intelligence from cybersecurity providers including CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Wis, and Cyera, giving enterprises a broader view of AI-related threats across their systems.

As AI adoption accelerates across industries, Saviynt is positioning its control plane as a foundational layer for enterprises seeking to safely deploy autonomous agents at scale — bridging the gap between innovation speed and security oversight.
