The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) marked its 32nd anniversary last July 3, 2025, with a dual celebration that showcased its commitment to national progress and digital innovation. The central bank unveiled an immersive multimedia exhibit and launched its redesigned, user-friendly website, reinforcing its dedication to a sustainable and inclusive future for all Filipinos.

The day’s festivities kicked off with the grand opening of the “Welcome to Barangay BSP: A Community for Everyone” multimedia exhibit.
BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr. led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, joined by Monetary Board Members Benjamin E. Diokno, Romeo L. Bernardo, Rosalia V. De Leon, Walter C. Wassmer, and Jose L. Querubin. The event also saw the esteemed presence of former governors Jaime C. Laya, Jose L. Cuisia, Jr., and Amando M. Tetangco, Jr., along with several Deputy Governors, highlighting the continuity and legacy of leadership.
Located at the newly-opened BSP Hub along Roxas Boulevard in Manila, the exhibit offers the public a unique glimpse into how the central bank’s core mandates directly impact the lives of ordinary Filipinos.
Through a captivating blend of digital installations and vibrant displays, it illustrates the central bank’s initiatives that have made a tangible difference in communities nationwide. The exhibit’s theme, “BSP@32: Harnessing Digital Innovation for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future,” resonates with the central bank’s forward-looking approach to leverage technology for financial inclusion and economic growth. The exhibit is open for public viewing until the second week of September 2025.
BSP enhances digital outreach with new website launch

Complementing the physical exhibit, the central bank also rolled out its revamped official website, a cornerstone of its ongoing digital transformation journey. Launched on the same anniversary date, the redesigned portal is a testament to its commitment to improved stakeholder engagement and accessibility.
Developed in line with international best practices and informed by extensive feedback from focus group discussions, the new website aims to provide a more intuitive, user-centric, and responsive online experience.
Key enhancements include a modern, mobile-responsive design for seamless accessibility across all devices, faster loading times for a more efficient browse experience, and a dedicated highlights section featuring the latest exchange rates, press releases, and the release calendar.
The content has also been meticulously reorganized to cater to the diverse needs of its users, ensuring information is easy to find.
New mobile app to connect Filipinos to essential services

Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat (second from right) led the launching of the new mobile app. With her displaying the app on their mobile phones are Deputy Governors Mamerto E. Tangonan and Chuchi G. Fonacier, Monetary Board Members Rosalia V. De Leon, Benjamin E. Diokno, and Jose L. Querubin, and Managing Director Charina B. De Vera-Yap.
This website launch follows the successful introduction of the BSP Mobile App in April 2025, which provides Filipinos with convenient access to central bank information and services on the go.
“The mobile app is our way of staying connected with the public. It allows users to check key rates and public announcements, locate coin deposit machines, file complaints through our chatbot BOB, and stay updated with news and advisories,” said BSP Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, who led the launching ceremony at BSP’s head office in Manila.
In her message, Managing Director Charina B. De Vera-Yap highlighted the app’s user-focused features. “This new platform aims to enhance your experience and encourage greater interaction with the central bank. Once downloaded, the app can be accessed anytime, even offline, and offers personalization to match your specific needs and interests.”
Director Reynaldo Florencio T. Zipagan emphasized the importance of user engagement. “With the official launch of the BSP Mobile app, we look forward to all of us becoming champions, promoting the app, and helping improve it through your valuable feedback,” he said.
Developed in-house, the BSP Mobile App complements the central bank’s website by offering a personalized experience tailored to mobile devices. Both digital platforms underscore the BSP’s strategic push to leverage technology to better serve the public and its stakeholders.
The central bank remains committed to continuous improvement, actively welcoming feedback to further refine its digital platforms. These twin initiatives mark a significant milestone in the BSP’s 32-year journey, showcasing its evolution from a traditional central bank to a digitally-empowered institution focused on fostering a high quality of life for every Filipino.
