As soaring temperatures drive up electricity consumption across the country, fintech lender Skyro is rolling out a summer campaign aimed at easing the financial strain on Filipino households.

Through its “Presko Panalo” promo, the SEC-registered digital lending platform is offering customers a chance to win a year’s worth of free electricity, alongside flexible financing options for essential home appliances.

The campaign comes at a time when rising energy costs are adding pressure to household budgets, particularly as families rely more heavily on cooling appliances such as air conditioners and refrigerators.

“Summer brings both comfort needs and higher expenses,” said Iya Lelyanova, Skyro’s Head of Marketing. “We want to help Filipinos stay cool without worrying about the added financial burden.”

Zero-down loans, free electricity raffle boost access

Running from April 1 to May 31, the promo allows qualified customers to access loans with up to zero down payment across Skyro’s network of more than 8,000 partner merchants nationwide.

The financing options cover a range of household items, including appliances commonly used during the summer months.

Beyond upfront savings, each approved loan automatically qualifies customers for a raffle entry, with three winners set to receive one year of free electricity. To complete their entry, customers must submit their loan details through Skyro’s official promo page by June 5.

The initiative reflects a broader push among fintech lenders to position themselves not just as credit providers, but as enablers of everyday financial resilience — particularly during seasonal spikes in expenses.

Skyro, which reports over 600,000 active product loan customers, has been expanding its reach through partnerships with both online and offline retailers, making installment financing more accessible to a wider segment of the population.

Winners of the “Presko Panalo” promo will be announced on June 16 via the company’s official channels.

As Filipino households continue to navigate rising living costs, campaigns like this highlight how fintech platforms are increasingly blending financial access with lifestyle support, offering not just loans but also practical ways to manage everyday expenses.
