Featuring distinguished industry experts as guest speakers, the ADCON 2024, the annual conference for BSBA Marketing students was held recently at Little Theater, UP Visayas in Iloilo City.

Monette Quiogue, the co-founder of Ambidextr and Bookshelf PH, was the main presenter during the event, where she discussed “LikhaRatura: The Transformative Art of Narrative Marketing.”

This session, part of the 24th ADCON-themed “LikhAdvertising: Behind the Artistic Scenes of Creative Marketing,” delved into the intersection of art, culture, and effective marketing campaigns. Quiogue emphasized that writing a book not only positions one as a thought leader, but doing so also enhances marketing strategies through book marketing, content marketing, and strategic partnerships.

The conference featured various other speakers addressing different facets of creative marketing.

Director Frances Anthea Redison opened with “GlobaLikha: A Deep Dive into Culturally-Sensitive Marketing,” stressing the importance of gender and cultural awareness in collaborative work with diverse communities.

Following Redison, Quiogue’s session tackled crucial questions about writing a book, including the reasons for writing, the process, the message, the timing, and the avenues for selling the finished product. She also argued that writing a book facilitates personal and professional growth, positioning authors as thought leaders who can establish authority, reach diverse audiences, educate markets, develop strategic partnerships, and generate leads and sales.

The first day of ADCON 2024 began with a workshop led by Ms. Eulah Araullo, Creative Lead for Content Partnership at Canva. Her “MaLikHain Workshop” focused on innovative approaches and techniques in marketing, providing attendees with practical insights and creative strategies.

ADCON 2024 successfully brought together industry experts and aspiring marketers, fostering a deeper understanding of the intricate relationship between creativity and marketing effectiveness.
