As the Philippines accelerates its digital evolution — with its digital economy surging to ₱2.74 trillion (representing 9.8% of the GDP and a 5.4% year-on-year growth) — the demand for robust infrastructure, advanced automation, and airtight cybersecurity has never been more critical.

Against this backdrop, Taiwanese technology giants are bringing cutting-edge innovation straight to the capital. Taiwan Expo 2026 officially opens its doors at the SMX Convention Center Manila from September 17 to 19, 2026, uniting more than 125 Taiwanese enterprises to showcase the future of enterprise technology.

Meeting the demand for smarter, safer operations

With rapid digitalization comes elevated risk.

Earlier this year, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) issued stern reminders for financial institutions and regulated sectors to fortify their cyber defenses against AI-driven threats, where malicious actors increasingly leverage automation to probe vulnerabilities.

Addressing these challenges head-on, the Expo’s dedicated Intelligent Technology Pavilion will spotlight a comprehensive suite of next-generation solutions:

  • AIoT & Edge Computing: Advanced person-tracking and facial recognition security systems designed for modern enterprises.
  • Smart Manufacturing & Logistics: Collaborative robots (cobots) built for industrial shop floors, alongside innovative forklift safety technologies for streamlined warehouse operations.
  • Enterprise Cybersecurity: Advanced zero-trust frameworks tailored to protect sensitive data and connected banking infrastructure.

For Philippine manufacturers, logistics operators, banks, and corporate decision-makers, these solutions offer a timely toolkit to optimize productivity, secure digital assets, and future-proof operations.

In addition to enterprise technology and AI solutions, Taiwan Expo 2026 will feature a dedicated Green & Innovation Showcase led by 13 specialized Taiwanese green technology companies.

Organized by the Taiwan International Trade Administration (TITA) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), this showcase highlights renewable energy and power infrastructure, sustainable building materials, eco-friendly industrial solutions, and advanced water treatment systems.

Participating green tech pioneers include Shihlin Electric & Engineering Corporation, Fortune Electric Co., Ltd., Super Battery Co., Ltd., Champion Building Materials Co., Ltd., and hiPower Hydrogen Technology Co., Ltd., among others.

Furthermore, TITA and TAITRA are hosting the Taiwan–Japan–Philippines Business Cooperation Forum to foster deeper trilateral economic ties and industrial collaboration, featuring insights from industry leaders like Vincent Huang of Shihlin Electric and Steven Huang of Fortune Electric.

Taiwan Expo returns to Manila following a stellar outing last year. Taiwan Expo 2025 drew over 10,000 visitors and trade buyers, unlocking approximately US$53.4 million in business opportunities.

Building on this momentum, Taiwan Expo 2026 will feature an enhanced Business Matching Program, giving Philippine system integrators, technology buyers, manufacturers, and distributors direct access to Taiwanese tech leaders for strategic partnerships and joint ventures.

Organized by the International Trade Administration under Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (TITA) and implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the event spans technology, sustainability, agriculture, healthcare, and consumer industries. The exhibition hall will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
