Partnership to provide consumers in the Philippines with more accessible financial solutions.

Smile API, the provider of employment data for credit decisions and loan underwriting, has announced a data partnership with Atome, Southeast Asia’s leading digital consumer financing platform.

Through this partnership, Smile API is hoping to help accelerate financial inclusion in the Philippines by strengthening the robustness of Atome’s credit profiling and risk management. The data partnership is actually expected to enhance Atome’s customer onboarding as well as credit profiling decisions.

Fresh from completing a similar partnership in July with BillEase, a top-rated consumer finance app in the Philippines, Smile API is hoping to help revolutionize the way consumers sync their employment data, and thus enhance the overall user experience and financial data security.

At present, Smile API’s user-authorized employment data sources include government databases, gig economy platforms, and various HR and payroll systems.

“We are excited to join forces with Atome to offer enhanced financial solutions that cater to the needs of their customers,” said Jerome Eger, CEO of Smile API. “Our collaboration with Atome reflects our shared commitment to advancing financial inclusivity through advanced technology.”

For his part, Magic Tang, the Head of Cards Business of Atome, said, “Our data partnership with Smile enhances our customer onboarding and decisions in the Philippines, which ultimately delivers a better customer experience.”

“As we roll out more of Atome’s products and services, we want to further broaden financial access and inclusivity for Filipino consumers, and this partnership is key to that,” he added.

Through this partnership, Smile API and Atome will soon be able to provide consumers in the Philippines with more accessible, convenient, and inclusive financial solutions.

Smile API is currently considered as a leading provider of employment data for credit decisions. It provides lenders with employment data from multiple platforms, all through a single API, enabling lenders to make better decisions, increase adoption and conversion, reduce costs, and lower risks.

Atome, on the other hand, is Southeast Asia’s leading digital consumer financing platform, which offers users flexible payment, as well as smart saving and rewarding shopping options.

Available across thousands of online and offline brands across the region, Atome offers consumers choice, convenience, and flexibility in how they choose to shop and pay.

Atome is part of Singapore-headquartered Advance Intelligence Group, an AI-driven technology company that focuses on transforming financial services and retail industries.
