PLDT Home has partnered with GCash to enable Fiber Prepaid customers to reload their internet subscriptions directly through the e-wallet’s GLoad platform, as the companies seek to make home connectivity more accessible through digital payments.
The collaboration allows Fiber Prepaid users to purchase internet load packages via the GCash app while gaining access to exclusive discounts, rewards, and promotional offers.
The move reflects the growing convergence of connectivity and fintech services in the Philippines, where digital wallets are increasingly becoming platforms for managing essential household expenses, from utility bills to transportation and internet services.
According to PLDT Home, integrating Fiber Prepaid into GCash’s ecosystem is intended to make internet access easier to manage for consumers who prefer flexible spending options and cashless transactions.
“As digital lifestyles continue to evolve, PLDT Home makes fiber services simpler, accessible, and adaptable to the changing needs of Filipino families,” said John Y. Palanca, Senior Vice President and Head of Consumer Business at PLDT.
“Together with GCash, we aim to empower more Filipinos by making it easier to enjoy reliable internet with greater flexibility and convenience, while enabling more inclusive digital experiences for all.”
The partnership comes as demand for prepaid and subscription-based internet services continues to grow, particularly among budget-conscious households, students, remote workers, and small business owners seeking greater control over their connectivity expenses.
Digital wallets become gateways to essential services

PLDT launched Fiber Prepaid to address this segment, offering unlimited fiber internet through reloadable plans rather than traditional fixed monthly subscriptions.
The company said customers can use GCash GLoad to purchase prepaid internet packages in the same way they buy mobile load, creating a more seamless experience between connectivity and digital payments.
For GCash, the partnership expands the range of essential services available within its platform, reinforcing its position as a financial super app used by millions of Filipinos for everyday transactions.
“Connectivity is essential for everyday life, and Filipinos expect digital services that are accessible and rewarding,” said Oscar “Ren-Ren” Enrico Reyes, President and CEO of G-Xchange, Inc., the operator of GCash.
“Through GCash GLoad, PLDT Home Fiber Prepaid users can now reload their internet more conveniently while enjoying added perks and exclusive offers within the GCash app.”
Beyond customer convenience, the companies said the collaboration supports broader digital inclusion efforts by encouraging the use of cashless payments for essential services while expanding access to reliable internet connectivity.
The initiative combines PLDT Home’s nationwide fiber network with GCash’s large digital payments ecosystem, creating a more integrated experience across connectivity, payments, and digital services.
Making home internet as easy as payments
According to Chito M. Franco III, Vice President and Head of Consumer Sales at PLDT, the integration is part of the company’s broader effort to improve the overall customer experience beyond internet access itself.
“Integrating PLDT Home Fiber Prepaid into GCash GLoad provides a faster, more secure, and rewarding way to reload while also making home internet as easy to manage as everyday digital payments,” Franco said.
PLDT Home Fiber Prepaid is available for P999, which includes installation and 30 days of unlimited internet access with speeds of up to 50 Mbps. Customers can also choose from a range of reload packages spanning one day to 365 days, with speeds reaching up to 300 Mbps depending on the selected plan.
As digital payments become increasingly embedded in everyday services, partnerships such as this highlight how fintech platforms are evolving beyond financial transactions to serve as gateways for managing connectivity, utilities, and other household essentials.
