The Palawan Pawnshop Group (PPG) has recently launched PalawanPay, an e-wallet app that offers its users more convenience and flexibility with their financial transactions. Using the app, users can now take advantage of the pawnshop’s cash-in and cash-out service, buy phone loads, pay bills, and transfer funds through banks and e-wallets. It lets them do all these transactions online with just a few clicks and taps.

“The company has launched the PalawanPay e-wallet app as part of the company’s mission to give more Filipinos access to financial services, especially those unserved by formal banking channels,” said Bobby Castro, President and CEO of PPG. “It is our mission to empower ordinary Filipinos in times of personal crises and provide them hope for a better future. Thus, we are an ally of the government and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in promoting equality and inclusivity in finance.”

To create an account, download the PalawanPay App from Apple Store (https://apple.co/39XlYRN) or the Google Play Store (https://bit.ly/3lI65kW). After downloading the app, users only need to register their account name and password and agree to the terms and conditions. A verification code will then be sent to the mobile phone where they wish to associate their account. For basic accounts, a selfie photo will be requested. Valid IDs will also be needed for further verification.

For those who are already PalawanPay users, all they need to do is have their account verified by simply uploading a valid identification card and email address. Once verified, users can already start to enjoy all the services, and even transfer a substantial amount of pera padala to their loved ones or other e-wallets. App users can also transact up to Php100,000 and pay bills with more merchants and service providers.

The PalawanPay App is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. For more information about the app, visit https://www.palawanpawnshop.com.

Not just a pawnbroker but also a one-stop money shop

Palawan Pawnshop Group is the country’s largest network of pawnshops and money transfers. It caters to a unique but large market segment and is now considered the No. 1 remittance and pawnshop company in the Philippines.

Aside from pawnbroking, Palawan Pawnshop is a name trusted by Filipinos in handling remittances, bills payment, electronic mobile phone loading, digital cross-border payment, and other financial transactions.

Beyond being a trusted household brand, Palawan Pawnshop has also democratized the financial sector with its uncomplicated and hassle-free services, including pawnbroking and remittances.

Its Express Pera Padala service is trusted by millions of Filipinos for its affordable, dependable, and hassle-free transactions — providing customers with more affordable rates (as low as two pesos!) in the country. Its Suki Card, meanwhile, is a lifetime loyalty card for valued Palawan customers that gives discounts on pawn interest and remittance fees plus rebates for every claimed transaction.

Filipinos can now also send and receive remittances any time, anywhere, thanks to PPG’s PalawanPay app and the Palawan Express Pera Padala (PEPP) network across the country. Palawan Pawnshop currently has an extensive network of branches and partner outlets in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

According to Castro, “The Palawan Pawnshop Group is always thinking of ways that it can better serve its loyal ‘sukis.’ All of our transactions are made in real-time and Palawan Pawnshop branches are open every day to serve as the one-stop money shop for Filipinos.”
