In line with this, the AWS Cyber Insurance Partners program will also be launched to make it easier for customers, particularly Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs), to find affordable cyber insurance policies that integrate their security posture assessment solutions through a simplified customer experience.

By using this new assessment solution from AWS, organizations can receive cyber insurance pricing estimates, purchase plans, and be confident they have the coverage for security and recovery services when needed most.

There’s also the AWS Global Security Initiative, which provides Global System Integrators (GSI) the opportunity to jointly develop innovative and transformational security and compliance services with AWS, delivering on the promise of actionable security data leveraging the power of Generative AI.

Other announcements include the availability of Amazon Detective and Software Bill of Materials export capability in Amazon Inspector, the general availability of Code Scans for AWS Lambda Function, the S3 Dual Server-side encryption with keys, andan AWS Payment Cryptography service that moves payment processing to the cloud, among many others.

During the event, Phil Rodrigues, Head of Security, APJ Commercial at AWS, was also quoted to have said: “Today at AWS re:Inforce, we announced a series of services and features that will allow customers to optimize their security investments, innovate securely with advanced technology including generative AI, and use data to respond more quickly to an evolving security landscape.”

“Security is our top priority. AWS provides our customers with cloud security solutions that allow them to experiment and iterate securely, so they can move quickly and stay secure,” Rodrigues added.
