Users of Globe’s mobile wallet application can now apply for finance and insurance packages directly from their mobile phones. Yes, you heard that right.

In partnership with Generali Philippines, GCash has recently launched affordable insurance packages that users can avail of starting at P270. The plans are available via GCash’s GLife feature, a lifestyle “mini app” within the mobile wallet that offers food, groceries, gadgets, fashion, beauty products, and now insurance. The packages have been designed to help more Filipinos secure their health and finances, especially amid the pandemic.

Aside from the ease and convenience of cashless transactions, GCash now also helps secure your health and your family’s future.

There are four insurance packages to choose from — GenProtect Basic 50, GenProtect Plus 50, GenProtect Basic 100, and GenProtect Plus 100.

For just P270, the GenProtect Basic 50 offers P50,000 worth of personal accident benefit, P5,000 worth of accidental medical reimbursement benefit (if the cause of hospitalization is an accident), and P500 daily hospital accident benefit for up to 14 days. This package also comes with 24/7 Call-A-Doc telemedicine service so users can consult with a medical professional for up to three calls anytime, anywhere.

Another option is the GenProtect Plus 50. For only P280, the package gives the same offers and benefits as GenProtect Basic plus P5,000 worth of motorcycling accidents. There is also an additional P5,000 worth of benefits for unprovoked murder and assault.

For more protection, GLife users can also opt for the GenProtect Basic 100. It includes P100,000 worth of personal accident benefit, P10,000 worth of accidental medical reimbursement benefit, plus P1,000 worth of daily hospital accident benefit (up to 14 days) and up to six calls with the 24/7 Call-A-Doc telemedicine service. This plan is available for just P455.

The fourth package is GenProtect Plus 100, which is being offered at P475. It offers all the same benefits as GenProtect Basic 100. Plan holders get an additional Php10,000 worth of motorcycling accidents plus P10,000 worth of unprovoked murder and assault benefits.
