In a significant move to bolster its commitment to employee development and talent mobility, Chinabank has recently renewed its partnership with LinkedIn for enterprise learning and hiring solutions.

The contract signing ceremony took place at the Chinabank Academy in Makati City, marking a milestone in the bank’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of continuous learning and career growth among its employees.

Chinabank executives led by its Chief Finance Officer Patrick Cheng (4th left) and LinkedIn Learning APAC Head Georgina O’Brien (5th from left) during the signing of their contract renewal. Joining them were Chinabank Learning & Capability Development Division Head Jonathan Camarillo, HRG Advisor Maria Rosanna Testa, HRG Head Tani Michelle Cruz, Talent & Acquisition Placement Division Head Josefina Anna Justiniano, and LinkedIn Senior Account Director Shobhit Srivastava.

Under the renewed agreement, the bank’s employees will continue to enjoy unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning, known internally as Learning EDGE (Empowered Talents Driving Growth and Excellence), until 2027. This initiative, launched during the bank’s 102nd anniversary in 2022, has empowered Chinabankers with a comprehensive on-demand learning solution to acquire new knowledge and enhance their skills.

“Renewing our partnership with LinkedIn is a testament to our commitment to democratizing learning and fostering a culture of continuous growth,” said Tani Michelle M. Cruz, Head of Chinabank Human Resources Group (HRG).

“We are thrilled to extend this collaboration for another three years, introducing the Talent Enterprise Program. This program equips our employees with self-driven career goal setting and AI-powered skills coaching, enhancing internal mobility and reinforcing our dedication to their professional development,” she added.

An Upgrade to Chinabank’s Learning & Development Strategy

The Talent Enterprise Program represents a significant upgrade to the bank’s learning and development strategy. It not only provides employees with access to a vast array of online courses but also empowers them to take ownership of their career progression.

With AI-powered skills coaching and self-driven career goal setting, Chinabankers are encouraged to proactively shape their professional paths and drive their own success.

“Our focus has always been to embed a strong learning culture across the Chinabank Group,” Cruz added. “Now, we are emphasizing the importance of empowering our employees to take control of their career development and mobility. By fostering a sense of autonomy and self-direction, we enable our workforce to proactively shape their professional paths and drive their own success.”

In addition to expanding its learning initiatives, Chinabank’s HRG will benefit from unlimited Recruiter Seats through the LinkedIn Hiring Enterprise Program. This upgrade is timely as the bank continues its hiring blitz, aiming to build a robust talent pipeline both internally and externally.

By leveraging LinkedIn’s advanced hiring solutions, Chinabank aims to streamline its recruitment processes and position itself as an employer of choice for candidates nationwide.

Chinabank’s dedication to employee development and talent acquisition has not gone unnoticed. The bank was named the 2023 Employer of the Year by the People Management Association of the Philippines and was ranked among the largest companies in the region in the inaugural Fortune Southeast Asia 500 list. These accolades underscore Chinabank’s reputation as a leading employer that prioritizes the growth and well-being of its workforce.

“Being recognized as the Employer of the Year and making it to the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 list are tremendous honors for us,” Cruz noted. “These achievements reflect our unwavering commitment to our employees and our continuous efforts to create a supportive and dynamic work environment.”

Chinabank: Strengthening its position in the financial industry

As the bank continues to expand its operations and strengthen its position in the financial industry, the renewed partnership with LinkedIn is set to play a crucial role in driving the bank’s growth and success.

By investing in the professional development of its employees and enhancing its recruitment capabilities, Chinabank is well-positioned to navigate the challenges of the future and maintain its status as a top employer in the Philippines.

The renewed engagement with LinkedIn not only reinforces Chinabank’s dedication to its employees but also highlights the bank’s strategic approach to leveraging technology and innovation in its human resources practices.

In May this year, Chinabank made a bold leap by launching an extensive brand revitalization campaign aimed at modernizing its identity and capturing the attention of a fresh clientele. Coupled with a digital initiative, the launch marked a pivotal moment for the 103-year-old financial institution

As the bank looks ahead to the next three years, it remains committed to empowering its workforce and fostering a culture of excellence that will propel Chinabank to new heights.
