Alibaba Cloud named a Challenger in the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant analytics report

Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, has been named a Challenger in this year’s Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms.

Last year, the cloud service provider was placed as a Niche Player in the same report.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant report evaluates providers of analytics and business intelligence platforms that are designed to enable users to model, analyze, share, and manage their data. Automated insights, reporting capabilities, and data visualization are among the 12 critical capabilities defined for this market.

Alibaba Cloud’s Quick BI platform, which was evaluated for this report, is an intelligent business analysis suite offering services including data exploration and reporting. Its capabilities empower enterprise users to view and explore data for making informed business decisions.

“Data-driven insight is becoming increasingly important for driving organizational strategy worldwide. We are seeing growing demand for platforms with a full range of services in data management and analytics, reflecting the advantages that these capabilities can bring to businesses. Being recognized as a Challenger in this critical area is a great encouragement for us and we believe it reflects our ongoing efforts to enhance Quick BI’s platform capabilities,” said Selina Yuan, President of International Business, Alibaba Cloud Intelligence.

“We look forward to further supporting our customers around the world as they look for new ways to unlock the potential of their data,” she added.

Quick BI provides a simple and easy-to-use platform for producing analysis reports based on intelligence such as customer retention rates, number of active users, and more. The platform supports customized dashboards that allow users to present their insights in their preferred formats. It has been widely used in various industries, such as retail, internet, manufacturing, media, and finance.

One example is IJOOZ, a leading smart retail and food robotics company in Singapore, which leveraged Alibaba Cloud’s technologies to optimize its current business and IT infrastructure.

Quick BI has helped IJOOZ with its data analytics, as well as exploration and reporting capabilities, enabling better, more data-driven decision-making across the company.
