Modern business happens in real-time – from delivering real-time customer experiences, improving efficiencies in backend operations, and launching innovative new products and services. The demand for real-time has cemented data streaming platforms as a critical business requirement in nearly every industry and category.

In the 2023 APAC Data Streaming Report, it was found that 89% of technology leaders in APAC say investments in data streaming are important, while 69% say they are using data streaming to power critical applications.

Data streaming is what enables ride-sharing apps to provide a real-time mobile experience to match riders to drivers, provide dynamic pricing, and update driver ETAs. It’s what lets retailers personalize their customers’ shopping experiences, across every channel and interaction, in real time. And it even helps banks offer loans in just five minutes.

The use cases are truly limitless.

Confluent’s data streaming platform now available on Alibaba Cloud to more organizations in Asia

Under the expanded scope of collaboration, organizations in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand will have access to Confluent’s data streaming platform on Alibaba Cloud.  And with the deepened partnership, customers can benefit from a robust and resilient data streaming service. The solution, based on the distributed data streaming technology Apache Kafka, provides customers with more powerful and efficient data processing capabilities, including enhanced elastic computing and storage functions, and dedicated customer support and technical consultation.

Customers can enjoy all the enterprise-grade features of Kafka without the cumbersome management and monitoring work, and process data streams with enterprise-grade security. Confluent’s Data Streaming Platform has been used for improved business operation efficiency among a wide range of customers across numerous industries, including financial services, omnichannel retail, automobile, and gaming.

Kamal Brar, Senior Vice President for APAC at Confluent, commented, “By extending our partnership with Alibaba Cloud from mainland China to further across Asia, more organizations can now set their data in motion, by harnessing real-time, flexible data insights. The additional capabilities that we and Alibaba Cloud have enabled provide better experiences for our customers. This significantly accelerates time to value and improves developer productivity in building their real-time streaming applications.”
