Bitget Wallet celebrates “Bitcoin Pizza Day” with crypto community, unveils new brand identity

Bitget Wallet, a leading non-custodial crypto wallet, has officially rolled out a comprehensive rebrand, signaling its transformation into a full-service crypto platform designed for everyday utility.

The significant update introduces a new logo, a streamlined interface, and four distinct pillars: Trade, Earn, Pay, and Discover, all aimed at fostering the “Crypto for Everyone Movement” and onboarding the next billion users into the digital asset space.

The rebrand underscores the non-custodial crypto wallet’s unwavering commitment to making crypto accessible and user-friendly for a global audience.

To ignite this vision, the brand has launched over US$1 million in community incentives, seeking to reward its burgeoning user base and cultivate deeper engagement with the platform.

Bitget Wallet’s vision for “Crypto for Everyone” fuels explosive growth

With an impressive 80 million global users and a remarkable 300% user growth in the past year alone, Bitget Wallet is experiencing a surge in momentum across both emerging and established markets. The firm reports particularly rapid expansion in Africa (+959%), Europe (+367%), and the Middle East (+350%), highlighting a global appetite for simplified crypto solutions.

Alvin Kan, COO of Bitget Wallet, articulated the evolving role of crypto wallets in today’s landscape. “The role of wallets is evolving — it’s moving from a niche tool to one with real-world utility for everyday needs,” said Kan. “This rebrand is part of a longer-term plan to make crypto accessible for everyone. We’re building towards a future where interacting with crypto feels as easy as using Uber or PayPal.”

In the Philippines, Bitget Wallet has already cemented its position as a trusted name among local users.

This success is largely attributed to its seamless integration with Philippine Peso (PHP), a mobile-first user experience, and robust grassroots community initiatives. Programs like PayFi in Siargao, the convenient Bitget Wallet Lite on Telegram, and a series of recurring offline activations have been instrumental in delivering practical crypto education and tangible use cases to Filipinos spanning from Metro Manila to the far-flung islands.

The reimagined Bitget Wallet was officially introduced by Jose Mendoza, Bitget’s Country Manager for the Philippines, during a lively Bitcoin Pizza Day celebration held on May 24, 2025, in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The event drew hundreds of crypto enthusiasts, influencers, and community leaders, coming together to commemorate the iconic moment in 2010 when Laszlo Hanyecz famously purchased two pizzas for 10,000 BTC.

Setting the stage for future innovations in real-world crypto applications

The Manila gathering was a cornerstone of Bitget’s global Bitcoin Pizza Day initiative, which saw simultaneous celebrations across five continents, distributing pizzas to over 2,000 individuals.

From May 19 to 24, festive events took place in key cities including Metro Manila, Abuja, Cape Town, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Mexico City, Lisbon, Barcelona, Florence, Milan, Athens, Penang, Dubai, Taipei, and Ho Chi Minh City, solidifying Bitget’s global presence and community-centric approach.

Looking ahead, Bitget Wallet has ambitious plans to further enhance its offerings. These include integrating national QR payment systems, expanding its suite of yield-earning tools, and introducing support for tokenized real-world assets such as stocks and gold. These future developments are set to usher in the next wave of crypto utility for users worldwide.

Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, emphasized the broader significance of Bitget Wallet’s evolution. “Bitget Wallet stands strong with the essence of crypto extending beyond our decentralized vision, serving as a critical access layer across trading, earning, and payments for on-chain assets,” said Chen. “Users now have an even more powerful tool—simple to use, accessible, and packed with capabilities — that connects people to opportunity, wherever they are, whenever they need.”
