For decades, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has been the silent guardian of the nation’s financial stability, its imposing headquarters a symbol of economic prudence. Now, that relationship is set to become far more intimate and accessible with the grand unveiling of the “BSP Hub” – a groundbreaking facility designed to bring the central bank closer to the very heart of the Filipino populace.

BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona Jr. (third from left) led the inauguration ceremony of the BSP Hub along with Monetary Board Members (from left) Walter C. Wassmer, Romeo L. Bernardo, Benjamin E. Diokno, Rosalia V. De Leon, and Jose L. Querubin.
Inaugurated with much fanfare on June 5, 2025, and officially opening its doors to the public on June 9, this innovative “one-stop shop” at the central bank’s head office, strategically located along the service road of Roxas Boulevard in Manila, signals a pivotal shift in how the central bank interacts with everyday citizens.
No longer a distant authority, the central bank is actively reaching out, transforming its imposing façade into a welcoming gateway for a myriad of essential services.
“The BSP Hub is more than just another building. It is the space where the central bank connects with the people,” declared BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr. during the inaugural ceremonies. His words encapsulate the very essence of the Hub’s mission: to demystify the central bank’s operations and make its vital services readily available to all.
A legacy of accessibility: How a governor’s vision transformed BSP engagement

This transformative vision was first conceived by Monetary Board Member Benjamin E. Diokno, who, during his tenure as governor from 2019 to 2022, recognized the growing need for enhanced public engagement. “We envisioned a new purpose for this space: a one-stop shop with a simple mission to ‘bring the BSP to all.’ Today, almost five years later, it is both a relief and a joy to see this vision come to life,” shared Diokno, visibly proud of the culmination of his foresight.
He also reflected on the limitations imposed by the 2020 pandemic, which underscored the critical need for a secure and safe space to facilitate the central bank’s essential transactions with the public. The Hub stands as a testament to that adaptive thinking, designed with modern safety measures in mind.
Within the sleek, modern confines of the BSP Hub, Filipinos will discover an unprecedented range of services. Here, they can directly engage with knowledgeable central bank personnel, addressing concerns related to financial products and services offered by institutions under the central bank’s regulatory authority. This direct line of communication is a game-changer for consumer protection and financial literacy, empowering individuals to navigate the complexities of the financial landscape with confidence.
Beyond dispute resolution, the Hub offers a unique window into the BSP’s heritage and offerings. Enthusiasts and collectors can now conveniently purchase official BSP merchandise, including commemorative notes and coins – tangible pieces of the nation’s rich numismatic history.
Special BSP publications, offering insights into economic trends and financial policies, are also readily available, fostering a more informed citizenry. For those involved in real estate, the Hub also facilitates various transactions concerning BSP-acquired properties, streamlining a process that was once more fragmented.
More than transactions: A hub for heritage, learning, and public engagement

But the BSP Hub is more than just a transactional center. It is a beacon of knowledge and cultural preservation. It proudly houses the newly relocated Museo BSP, a captivating journey through the country’s numismatic heritage that promises to fascinate history buffs and casual visitors alike.
Adjacent to the museum, the BSP Library offers a wealth of resources for research and learning. Furthermore, dedicated meeting rooms and a spacious auditorium are poised to become vibrant venues for financial and economic learning initiatives, public events, and community engagement, solidifying the Hub’s role as a true public square for financial discourse.
The inauguration was a momentous occasion, graced by a distinguished lineup of officials, including Monetary Board Members Romeo L. Bernardo, Rosalia V. De Leon, Walter C. Wassmer, and Jose L. Querubin, alongside BSP Deputy Governors Chuchi G. Fonacier, Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, Elmore O. Capule, and Zeno Ronald R. Abenoja, among other key figures. Their presence underscored the collective commitment to this new chapter of enhanced public service.
With the BSP Hub now fully operational, crucial external transactions from various departments – including the BSP Store, Asset Management Department, Greater Manila Regional Office, Payments and Settlements Department, FSS Operations Support Department, Administrative Services Department, and the Consumer Protection and Market Conduct Office – have been seamlessly transferred to this centralized location. This consolidation significantly enhances efficiency and convenience, truly embodying the “one-stop shop” promise.
The opening of the BSP Hub marks a significant milestone in the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ ongoing commitment to transparency, accessibility, and public engagement. It’s a testament to the belief that a central bank, while safeguarding the nation’s financial future, must also actively connect with the very people it serves, fostering trust and empowering them with knowledge.
