Filipinos shopping for personal loans can now find and compare EastWest’s loan products on Moneymax before proceeding with an online application, giving borrowers another way to access financing without starting their search directly with a bank.
MoneyMax, the Philippine platform of MoneyHero Limited, said it has partnered with East West Banking Corporation (EastWest) in a deal that will allow eligible customers to start their personal loan application through the financial comparison platform.
Customers can fill out a lead form on Moneymax, after which their application details are securely sent to EastWest for processing and approval.
Consumer borrowing continues to grow

The partnership comes as more Filipinos take on consumer debt.
Data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) showed consumer loans grew 21.4% year-on-year in December 2025.
The category includes credit card loans and general-purpose loans and grew faster than business lending during the period.
EastWest joins Moneymax’s lending platform

For Moneymax, adding EastWest gives users another established bank to consider when looking for personal financing.
“This partnership strengthens our personal loan offering in the Philippines and reinforces Moneymax’s role as a comparison platform for consumers evaluating borrowing options,” said Shravan Thakur, Chief Commercial Officer of MoneyHero Group.
Thakur said the partnership will allow Moneymax to connect more consumers with established lenders through a digital application process.
EastWest CEO Jerry N. Go said the bank sees the partnership as another way to reach customers while they are looking for financing.
“EastWest has always focused on building banking solutions that are practical and designed around the everyday financial needs of Filipinos,” Go said.
He said the partnership puts EastWest’s personal loan products in front of consumers who are already comparing financing options.
More financial products move online

Moneymax has been building its local network of financial institutions across several product categories, including credit cards, personal loans and insurance. Its partners include BPI, RCBC, the Credit Card Association of the Philippines and InsureMO.
The latest tie-up also shows how the personal loan application process is moving further online. Consumers can now start by comparing products on a financial platform, rather than visiting or applying directly with individual banks.
That convenience, however, does not change the need for borrowers to look closely at the cost of a loan before applying. Interest rates, fees, repayment periods and the borrower’s ability to meet monthly payments remain important considerations.
For EastWest, the partnership provides another digital route to potential borrowers. For Moneymax, it adds another bank to a platform built around helping consumers compare financial products before making a decision.
