The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and Philippine Payments Management, Inc. (PPMI) officially rolled out three new payment rails on July 29, 2026: Direct Debit PH, InstaPay Cash-In, and InstaPay for Business.
Aimed at reducing financial friction for consumers and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the initiative supports the central bank’s push for widespread digital financial inclusion.
Each one solves a specific, long-standing friction.

Three rails, three specific solutions
Direct Debit PH
Direct Debit PH serves as the country’s first standardized infrastructure for automated billing. It enables customers to issue formal mandates allowing billers to pull recurring payments directly from accounts across different financial institutions on scheduled due dates. So, with Direct Debit PH, you can actually let your bank pay all your bills.
InstaPay Cash-In
InstaPay Cash-In transforms wallet funding mechanics. Instead of the traditional “push” method from a bank account, users can initiate a request-for-funds prompt directly to another person or account across supported digital wallets and banks. This way, moving money from your bank to your wallet would no longer require logging into the bank app and pushing it out.
InstaPay for Business
InstaPay for Business addresses corporate liquidity demands by scaling transaction caps. Registered enterprises can now execute transfers up to ₱500,000 — a tenfold increase from the previous ₱50,000 limit — facilitating larger vendor payouts, payroll processing, and supplier settlements.
Why interoperability matters

The rollout builds upon the National Retail Payment System (NRPS) framework, bridging gaps across various digital channels. According to BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr., the infrastructure is designed to build “a payment system for every Filipino, and every Filipino business, no exceptions.”
Latest data from the central bank indicates strong early traction, with InstaPay for Business recording 10,808 transactions valued at ₱734.32 million during its initial monitoring window (as of June 2026).
As adoption widens, these systems are expected to sharply reduce manual queueing and operational bottlenecks for local commerce.
