BMAP elects new leaders for 2026, names BPI executive as president

The Bank Marketing Association of the Philippines (BMAP) has announced its new set of officers and board of trustees for 2026, drawing senior marketing and corporate affairs executives from the country’s major banking institutions.

Founded in 1974, BMAP is a non-stock, non-profit organization focused on advancing bank marketing through collaboration, professional development, and the promotion of industry standards.

Elected as BMAP president is Catherine P. Santamaria, Senior Vice President and Chief Customer and Marketing Officer of the Customer and Marketing Group at Bank of the Philippine Islands.

Joining her in the executive leadership team are:

  • Aileen Marie A. Vallesteros, Vice President, China Banking Corporation
  • Judith C. Songlingco, Secretary, Philippine Business Bank
  • Jean Valen W. Yu, Treasurer, RCBC
  • Edelyn H. Castro, Auditor, Maybank Philippines, Inc.

Supporting the officers is the 2026 Board of Trustees, composed of leaders from both local and international banking institutions:

  • Mai Gacilo Sangalang, Director for Industry Relations and Banking Code and Financial Inclusion, Standard Chartered Bank
  • Catherine Rowena B. Villanueva, Director for Programs, Land Bank of the Philippines
  • Eric H. Montelibano, Director for Membership, CSBank
  • Jennifer Y. Ng, Director for Ways and Means, Philippine National Bank
  • Angeline Marie B. Angeles, Director for Publicity and Digital Marketing, GoTyme Banking Corporation
  • Maria Luz E. Javier, Election Chair, Avanza, Inc.

Santamaria said the association will continue to strengthen collaboration among its members while elevating professional standards in bank marketing.

“We look forward to working closely with our members to advance excellence and foster meaningful industry dialogue in the year ahead,” she said.

In 2026, BMAP said it will sustain its efforts to elevate standards and strengthen the strategic impact of marketing across the Philippine banking and financial services sector.
