Bitget, one of the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges and Web3 innovators, has announced a bold new chapter in its evolution.
On the occasion of its seventh anniversary, the company revealed its transformation from a centralized exchange (CEX) into the world’s first Universal Exchange (UEX) — a pioneering model that unites centralized, decentralized, and traditional finance under one interoperable platform.

The transition marks a major milestone for the company as it aims to bridge the gap between crypto and real-world tokenized assets.
The new UEX framework offers users instant access to on-chain assets, AI-powered trading tools, and a secure, integrated infrastructure designed to help them manage, grow, and transfer wealth seamlessly across financial systems.
“We’re moving toward a future where finance — whether traditional or digital — works in harmony,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget. “As the first Universal Exchange, Bitget will lead this transformation by delivering tools and experiences that reflect how people truly live, trade, and invest today and in the future.”
Breaking conventions at full speed

The UEX announcement coincides with the crypto company’s seventh anniversary celebration, themed #GearUpTo7 — a concept inspired by motorcycle champions who push beyond limits, “shifting into a seventh gear that doesn’t really exist.”
“This mindset — breaking conventions to accelerate progress — defines Bitget’s journey,” Chen shared. “Only by challenging what’s possible can we drive the industry forward.”
Bitget: Driving inclusion and innovation worldwide
Bitget’s commitment to universal financial access has been reflected in its educational and social initiatives. Through Blockchain4Youth and Blockchain4Her, the company has reached over 15,000 young people and partnered with nearly 60 universities globally.
The company has also deepened its partnership with UNICEF, pledging to educate one million individuals on blockchain technology by 2027.

On the innovation front, Bitget continues to strengthen its technical leadership.
The company launched GetAgent, the world’s first all-in-one AI crypto trading assistant, and introduced the Bitget Wallet Card in select Asia-Pacific markets — including the Philippines — allowing users to spend crypto assets in their everyday transactions through Mastercard and Visa integration.
Celebrating a global milestone
To mark its seventh anniversary, Bitget hosted a series of international events, including the #GearUpTo7 Sprint Challenge with a US$400,000 USDT prize pool, motorcycle parades across major cities, and the first-ever Smart Awards, honoring exceptional traders and contributors to the crypto ecosystem.

The celebration also featured a high-energy anniversary anthem by crypto music artist Lil Bubble and an exclusive TopGear afterparty.
Bitget’s brand expansion continues through its partnerships with global icons such as Lionel Messi, Juventus FC, LaLiga, and the UNTOLD music festival — collaborations that bridge the worlds of finance, sports, and culture while amplifying the company’s presence on the global stage.
A vision for the future of finance
With its pivot to a Universal Exchange, Bitget is positioning itself at the forefront of a new financial era — one where users, assets, and markets are connected without borders.
The company’s long-term mission is to redefine what financial accessibility, interoperability, and innovation mean in an increasingly digital and decentralized world.
